About Us
The Franklin is a family run guesthouse in the heart of the beautiful spa town of Harrogate.
Since 1995 The Franklin has been run by Leigh and Kathryn Richardson and has recently been passed to daughter and son in law, Felicity and Daniel Burgess. The same love, care and attention that Leigh has provided his guests in that time will continue to be given by the new hosts.
At The Franklin we understand, now more than ever, how important it is to escape from the routines of everyday life and immerse yourself in new surroundings.
We believe Harrogate is both a beautiful and dynamic place to experience. With our historic architecture, heritage as a fashionable spa resort, plethora of shopping opportunities, as well as our more recent emergence as a centre for the independent food and drink scene Harrogate provides activities to interest all.
Within the town we have the RHS Garden Harlow Carr and the Valley gardens as well as having the breathtaking Yorkshire Dales on our doorstep, so it is no wonder Harrogate is often cited as one of the most beautiful towns in the UK. At the Franklin we want to provide you with the perfect base from which to explore and enjoy.
A family run business that has been established for over 25 years we pride ourselves on our warm welcome and our ability to exceed our guests expectations. This is both our business and our home and we want you to be able to relax, knowing everything is taken care of and the only thing you need to do is enjoy!
